Event Spaces for Hire in the Heart of the City of London


In the basement of our Leadenhall Market shop, right in the City of London, we have two unique event spaces available to hire for workshops, lectures, parties, and more!

The address of the venue is at our Independent Gift shop: SoLo Craft Fair Leadenhall, 43-45 Leadenhall Market, Bull’s Head Passage, EC3V 1LT

The Pink Room – Adorned with colourful lanterns, this bright and lively space accommodates up to 12 people seated or 20 standing.

The Green Room – A darker, more atmospheric space with a cosy, pub-like aesthetic, ideal for intimate gatherings. It accommodates up to 8 people seated or 15 standing.

Please note that access is via stairs only.

Both rooms are equipped with tables and chairs, and additional furniture can be provided if required. A sink is available for tidying up after messy crafts.

As the rooms are located underground, workshops involving toxic materials cannot be accommodated, and Wi-Fi is limited due to the location.

Room Rates

The Green Room

Pink Room

  • Grassroots / Independent companies: £20 per hour

  • Commercial / Corporate use: £500 per day

Green Room

  • Grassroots / Independent companies: £10 per hour

  • Commercial / Corporate use: £250 per day

Both Rooms

  • Grassroots / Independent companies: £25 per hour

  • Commercial / Corporate use: £600 per day

Renters should ensure their booking includes sufficient time for set-up and tidy-up.

Terms and Conditions for Room Hire

1. Booking and Payment

  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing and are subject to availability.

  • Full payment (or a deposit, if agreed) is required to secure the booking.

  • Remaining balances must be paid no later than 7 days after booking has been agreed.

  • We reserve the right to cancel any booking if payment is not received on time.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the booking date will receive a full refund minus £5 admin fee.

  • Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days before the booking will incur a 50% charge.

  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before the booking will not be refunded.

  • In the unlikely event that we must cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund.

3. Access and Use of the Space

  • Access to the rooms is via stairs only. Unfortunately, there is no step-free access.

  • Bookings must include sufficient time for set-up and tidy-up.

  • Hirers must vacate the space promptly at the end of the booked period.

  • Rooms must be left clean and tidy, with all furniture returned to its original position.

  • A sink is available for tidying crafts, but the washing of large items is not permitted.

4. Restrictions

  • As the rooms are located underground, workshops involving toxic, hazardous, or strong-smelling materials are not permitted.

  • Open flames, candles, or any heat-producing equipment are strictly prohibited.

  • The playing of loud music or activities likely to cause disturbance to neighbouring businesses is not allowed.

  • The hirer must not exceed the maximum capacity for each room.

5. Equipment and Facilities

  • Tables and chairs are provided; additional furniture may be available upon request.

  • Wi-Fi is available but limited due to the underground location.

  • The hirer is responsible for any equipment brought into the space. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal or hired items.

6. Health and Safety

  • The hirer is responsible for the safety and conduct of all attendees.

  • Fire exits and access routes must be kept clear at all times.

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

7. Liability and Damage

  • The hirer will be held responsible for any damage to the property, fixtures, or furnishings during the hire period.

  • Any damage or breakages must be reported immediately.

  • We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage sustained during use of the premises, except where caused by our own negligence.

8. General

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the premises.

  • The hirer must comply with all applicable laws, including health and safety and licensing regulations.

  • We reserve the right to refuse hire or terminate an event if these terms are breached.
