Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a stall at SoLo Craft Fair?
The best way to stay up to date is to sign up to our mailing list as subscribers will be informed of all our events.
Applications for our March event have just closed. We will be announcing details for our June event over the next couple of months.
How much does a stall cost?
Cost of stalls are completely dependent on the location of the market and size of the stall. We endeavor to keep costs down as much as possible and put a large percentage of stall holder fees back into marketing for the event. Prices range from £25 - £70.
Can I run a workshop at one of you events?
As long as you have public liability insurance and a valid and clear DBS we'd love to hear from you. We give free stalls to workshops to encourage a range of creativity at our events. Please email us with information of what you do.
Do I need insurance to sell with SoLo Craft Fair?
Yes. Having public liability insurance is extremely important to cover yourself and your customers should the worst happen at a market. We do not accept any stall holders who do not have or are willing to purchase public liability insurance. We recommend getting insurance from AN https://www.a-n.co.uk/news as this is the cheapest one around.
Can I perform at one of your markets?
Yes! Some of our markets have spaces for bands and other acts. Please email us email@example.com with information of what you do and which location you'd like to perform. Unfortunately, we cannot pay performers but we will promote on many platforms.
How do you promote your markets?
We promote our markets using the normal techniques such as social media and listings sites. In addition to this, we are listed in many 'what's on' apps, have had articles in many publications such as Time Out and we send out over 10,000 flyers per event to the surrounding areas.
What sort of stall holders can apply?
We mainly focus on crafters and vintage traders, we generally have stalls selling art, jewellery, homeware and fashion. However, we are open to 'interactive' stalls such as beauticians as long as they have all the relative qualifications. Generally our venues are pubs so we can rarely accept hot food traders. Cakes and sweets are fine.
I'm a fashion based stall can I bring a rail?
This is generally okay, though depending on the venue it may incur a cost due to space restrictions. We would recommend emailing us when applying to let us know you would prefer a rail.
Can I write about SoLo Craft Fair?
Yes! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a press release and any questions you may have.
How do I become a guest blogger on your site?
We love to have a collection of different writers on our blog whether you're a crafter, musician or author - we'd love to share your creative tale. Please email us with your ideas.
I saw an amazing stall holder at one of your events, and I can't track them down!
Please email us the date of the event and with as much information as possible about the stall. We'd love to put you in touch with them.
Where can I expect to find a SoLo Craft Fair event taking place?
Currently we only hold events across South London - areas we have held markets in so far include Beckenham, Balham, Catford, Deptford, Clapham, Forest Hill and Tooting. But who knows where the future will take us!
