In 1969, we had the Summer of Love, today in 2016, SoLo Craft Fair are introducing the Summer of Handmade. 

Nothing beats London in the summer - the longer evenings, ambitious cocktail menu's, BBQ's, we may even get some sunshine. To make it even more exciting SoLo Craft Fair will be running their summer event's at the iconic Balham Bowls Club. We will be showcasing some of the best handmade & vintage stall-holders, creative workshops and live music around. We will be grabbing the best parts of a festival and removing the mud!

In terms of stalls holders we will be offering everything from vintage fashion to natural bath products, scented candles to jewellery, coffee cushion covers to the best head dresses south of the river. We hope to have your summer shopping list covered.

As always we've made sure the kids will be kept entertained with our crafty kids corner, giant games, not forgetting amazing magic & balloon modelling from Willy Wont'he!

In terms of entertainment we have the beautiful music from Loveday Weller and Emilie Chesire, who will be serenading you throughout the day. The day will close with a bang with swing dancing (and a cheeky lesson) from Swingland.

Join Joanna Harker Shaw (author-poet of Songs of the River) for an afternoon of poetry writing for the young and old (and all in-between)! We’ll be looking at some advanced poetry skills for adults and letting kids have their first go at writing poetry with the basics. Unfortunately due to the room being upstairs on 28th May there is no disabled access. Though our July event at Balham Bowls will be downstairs in the restaurant area and will have full disabled access.
