Kids Art Competition - Elephant & Castle

Create a piece of artwork inspired by the iconic Elephant & Castle sculpture for A chance to win £20 to spend in store!

Promoter
This competition is organised and run by SoLo Craft Fair (“the Promoter”).

  1. Eligibility
    The competition is open to children aged 4–16 years. Entries will be judged within the following age categories:

  • Ages 4–7

  • Ages 8–11

  • Ages 12–16

Children must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter.

  1. Competition Theme
    Participants are invited to draw or paint the Elephant & Castle sculpture located in Elephant & Castle, London. Artwork may be created using any drawing or painting materials (for example pencils, pens, crayons, paint or mixed media).

  2. Entry Requirements

  • One entry per child.

  • Artwork must be the child’s own original work.

  • The child’s first name, age, and a parent/guardian contact email or phone number must be written clearly on the back of the artwork.

  • Entries must be submitted in person to SoLo Craft Fair, Elephant & Castle Shop - 14 Ash Avenue, SE17 1GQ

  • Artwork sizes must not exceed 21.0 x 29.7 cm (one A4 piece of paper).

  1. Submission Deadline
    All entries must be received by Thursday 14th May, 5pm.

  2. Display of Artwork
    All submitted artwork will be exhibited in the Elephant & Castle shop over the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend (23rd - 25th May). By entering the competition, participants and their parents/guardians agree to the artwork being displayed publicly within the shop.

  3. Prizes
    One winner will be selected from each age category. Each winner will receive a £20 voucher to spend at our shop!
    Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  4. Judging
    Entries will be judged by the Promoter based on creativity, effort, and interpretation of the Elephant & Castle sculpture. The judges’ decision is final.

  5. Notification of Winners
    Winners will be contacted using the parent/guardian contact details provided. If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner.

  6. Use of Images
    The Promoter may take photographs of the displayed artwork and may use images of the artwork for shop displays, social media, or promotional purposes. No full names of children will be published.

  7. Liability
    While all reasonable care will be taken, the Promoter cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to submitted artwork.

  8. Acceptance of Terms
    Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

  9. Changes to the Competition
    The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition if necessary due to circumstances beyond their control.
