SoLo Craft Fair are delighted to be teaming up with Mark London on behalf of Lendlease during the launch of Elephant Park in the vibrant area of Elephant and Castle this festive season. SoLo Craft Fair will be curating a Christmas gift shop with some of the best of London's independent businesses. The Pop-Up shop will have everything from homeware to art to fashion and beauty products, each product lovingly made by a local artisan.
Many people are making a conscious effort to shop at small businesses for a range of reasons. Firstly, buying from small businesses tends to be more sustainable, as nothing is mass produced and materials tend to be sourced locally. Many of the makers SoLo Craft Fair work with are making a conscious effort to make sure their products are more environmentally friendly.
Another great reason to shop local is that if every adult in the UK bought just one gift from a handmade business this Christmas, this would put approximately £1.3 billion back into the local economy! So try to support local this Christmas, and this Pop-Up shop will be a great place to start.
SoLo Craft Fair is a South London based organisation run by Catherine and Rebecca, originally artisan stall holders themselves. They pride themselves in running a craft market that takes time to promote their individual stall holders and workshop leaders, giving them a strong platform to grow their independent business.
